Hairop
by: Dustin Sisco
In the world of Hairop, the only means of survival was basically the same as an old western: kill or be killed, rob or be robbed. You had to fight to keep your house. It was a world of chaos, and anarchy. I don't mean anarchy as in chaos, I mean it as a form of new freedom. Back in the age of technology, near the year 2008, a group had formed. They were called "The Rebellion". It started out as only a high school kid living a fantasy, bored with his everyday life, and turned into something that would inevitably change the world.
He gathered a group of freinds, a bunch of teens who were labeled as emo-kids, punks, goths, losers, freaks, or geeks, depending on how the system or the pop-based culture saw them. They would meet one day of the week, maybe more if it were winter or spring break, or just a longer holiday. This group of rebels, impending to start a new world order, would discuss and fantasize about how they would change the world, and get rid of their corrupt government.
They would converse about how censorship, ratings, and other laws forbidding someone from seeing, saying, or doing something was anti-democratic, which, at the time, was the primary form of government. They explained that they would change things and make everbody have true freedom, have true independancy, and true rights.
In the end, for their generation, what turned out was a world unforseen to become salvaged, forsaken by all that tried to save it, and all that had hope for peace. A world so chaotic and so crestfallen that even "those who seek enlightenment" have forsaken it, for they have recieved word from their conscience that the Lord himself could not help those who inhabit this land. This desolate and forlorn world, was known to those who take shelter in the small crawlspaces safe from war, trying so ineptly to restore it, only as Hairop.
